Vibrant India by Chitra Agrawal


Hi! I got this wonderful cooking book: Vibrant India Fresh Vegetarian Recipes from Bangalore to Brooklyn by Chitra Agrawal chef and owner of Brooklyn Delhi. I just have to said that this book is full of colorful photos and delicious recipes from India. If you are vegetarian or you want to try new flavors in your plate with fresh and healthy ingredients I absolutely recommend you to add this book too your bookshelf.
The book has 214 pages. The contents is divide in : Introduction, how to use this book, breakfast and light meals, salads and yogurts, stir-fries and curries, rice and bread, soups, stews and lentils, festive bites and snacks, sweets and drinks, chutneys and pickles, from scratch, hands and forks and knives, meal planning and sample menus, where to buy ingredients and equipment, starter grocery list, acknowledgments and index.
My favorite recipes are: sheredded carrot and lentil salad (cover of the book), vangi baath, Karnataka coconut vegetable curry, coconut rice with cashews (2nd photo in my review), cardamom oatmeal cookies with dark chocolate and golden raisins, mango and coconut milkshake and cilantro coconut chutney.
