Their Name is Today. Reclaiming Childhood in a hostile world
By Johann Christoph Arnold
I
highly recommend to read this book to everyone, especially if you want to have
kids someday or already have kids. Is important if you are a teacher because is
going to help you with all the doubts that you can have. Johann Christoph
Arnold describes anonymous histories that help to understand different points
of view. The book has 173 pages.
The
book has interesting ideas that can help to improve society. Imparting good
knowledge and a good education at school and at home is essential for healthy,
happy children, especially in these times. Given that children are the future they
must be allowed to grow under a suitable environment without forcing them to
grow too fast. Children need to enjoy their childhood and play a lot. The author
touches on the influence of technology on children. How should be the way to
educate and understand their behaviors and reactions. It is a general reading
that will enrich your views. There will be ideas that you agree with and some that
you won´t, but that's the beauty of all the books. The different points of view
make you draw your own conclusions. This is a good book to read with a cup of
coffee.
“There
are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is
roots; the other, wings” Henry Ward Beecher
